Overview

Our mission is to help successful leaders achieve positive, long-term, measurable change in behaviour: for themselves, their people and their teams. Individual coaching is an effective method for achieving change in leadership behaviours.

Typically, coaching is about momentum, identifying goals, removing obstacles, generating options, planning action, and actioning the plan.

The coach works with the client to achieve their goals. The coach helps to identify talents and strengths of the client and to value them and then use these to approach areas of challenge.

Delivery

The following steps describe the basis of our coaching process:

  1. Identification of the desired leadership behaviours expected of the leaders. Leaders cannot be expected to change behaviour if they don’t have a clear understanding of what desired behaviour looks like.
  2. Collect feedback on performance. It is impossible to get evaluated on changed behaviour if there is not agreement on what behaviour needs to be changed!
  3. Reach agreement on key behaviours for change. We generally recommend picking 1-3 key areas for behavioural change with each client.  This helps ensure maximum attention to the most important behaviour.
  4. Review what has been learned with clients and help them develop an action plan. These plans need to come from them, not from us as coaches.  As a coach, the role is to help leaders get better at what they believe is most important – not to tell them what to change.

Coaching can be delivered in 1-hour coaching sessions over an agreed period (usually every month for 6 months) to support individuals.
