It is important that as small businesses, we embody an entrepreneurial mind-set in order to remain competitive, and make our businesses the best that they can be.
This workshop is all about raising awareness to what it really means to take on the mind-set of a business owner by building awareness of yourself, by being your best self, promoting your business by promoting yourself; understanding the drivers for your business, being able to tap into a deeper understanding of yourself to be the best you can be for your business; knowing personal strengths and weaknesses and identifying goals and actions to discuss with your Mentor.
Brief introduction of self and business.
This session will get you thinking about your business in terms of a six-part story board. The pictures and images when creating your picture board, will communicate something meaningful about your own experiences as a business owner.
Start to draft your SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis.
This session will identify the qualities, attributes, characteristics of a successful business owner.
You will then rate each characteristic on a scale of 1-10 as to how you think the characteristic applies to you. You will then have an opportunity to get together with those that have similar scores on key areas and discuss why they feel they are strong in this area.
Discuss areas of low scores- implications for business, how do you develop these areas/attributes and how important are they to your business?
Update your SWOT analysis.
This session will look at the importance of how we present ourselves to others.
Discussion on confidence, body language, ‘Fake it to Make it’.
Identifying 3 action points that you will take away and discuss with your Mentor.
