Women in the Fire Service (WFS)

The organisation is made up of individuals working in the FRS, who share a vision for the future, and are proactive in making that vision a reality.

We loved working with WFS sharing their values and supporting women in the FRS in overcoming difficulties and barriers, challenging cultures, using proactive approaches to promoting diversity and leading positive change through our Finding Your Voice workshops.

WFS’ Vision

“To work with Fire and Rescue Services in developing a culture of equality of opportunity and to support all women in achieving their full potential within it”

“Remembering the time when I felt the most confident and steps I need to take to get back there“

“I feel empowered to find my voice again”

“Have the conversation, say the thing, don’t be afraid I have the confidence”.

WFS Conference

We delivered a range of inspirational and motivational Finding Your Voice workshops for female employees who work in the FRS across the UK. The Finding Your Voice workshops brought together women across fire and rescue services to explore confidence, self-promotion, and personal voice. Through storytelling, reflection, and embodied exercises, participants reconnected with their sense of empowerment and self-worth. Participants walked away with new tools, deeper self-awareness, and a collective sense of momentum.

What women were saying about the workshops….

Reminded me that my inner tiger, my inner mentor, is still there
“It made me understand times when I was confident and when and why that changed. Remembering the time when I felt the most confident and the steps I need to take to get back there
Have the conversation, say the thing, don’t be afraid, I have the confidence
I feel empowered to find my voice again
Helped me to recognise times I’ve felt confident and when that hasn’t quite been the case
Just allowed me to flow out those inside thoughts that I’d usually keep to myself, to maybe protect myself
Massively, it’s something I’m very keen to work on, and the workshop has been a great starting point for that.
It helped me to realise that there is a pattern of no confidence that has run throughout my whole life
