The aim of any Leadership development programmes is to change behaviours, more often than not this is done through traditional programmes of acquiring new skills and practicing new behaviours. They are about getting leaders to do things differently, better, more efficiently. However, evidence shows that for leaders to do things differently, they need to first change how they think and what they believe, how they view themselves as leaders, understand the impact of their behaviours. to achieve this requires self awareness, EQ, reflection, willingness and opportunities to experiment and explore different leadership behaviours, to welcome feedback from others. to seek out help through Coaching and Mentoring. To be open to a different way of doing things.
Only by changing beliefs and thoughts can you change behaviours which will have impact and provide the outcomes required. Success is defined by a shift in how the person thinks and feels about themselves as a leader.

How I Do It
I work to build leadership skills in a bespoke way. Recognising all that leaders already offer and opportunities to build resilience and capability as a Leader. I build programmes in partnership with the Organisation, with Leaders’ needs in mind, generating a greater sense of ownership resulting in a higher level of commitment to change and adopting new behaviours and ways of thinking and using tools and methods including:
- Facilitating Leadership workshops – input on theories, models, best practice, case studies
- Emotional Intelligence Assessments (EQ-i 2.0 & EQ360)
- Coaching – both Individual and Team Coaching
- Working with a Mentor
- Mastermind groups and Action Learning Sets
- Utilising organisation- specific workplace scenarios
- Individual action planning
- 360 degree feedback
- Self-assessments and reflection
- Self-managed learning
- Regular check-ins and on-going support
This is not a journey for the faint hearted it requires leaders working robustly on themselves and their self-awareness and what makes them effective and ineffective as a leader.
