“I have seen Finding Your Voice in action before and have been inspired by the power of the mind and how to change the process of thinking to your advantage. There was no hesitation in joining like-minded ladies and to be uplifted with positive thinking.Immediately after the session I decided to book in at least one day a month away from the business. I had Monday off this week which was great and already booked in a day for February to visit London with my daughter!’” Amanda
“I read the “Finding Your Voice” leaflet and thought “Yes, Yes, Yes, that is all relevant to me”. For years I kept saying I can make the changes by myself but I never did and I finally realised accepting support and guidance can only benefit me and ultimately this workshop will assist me in making those changes. Fiona and Debbie are fantastic and although I am only session 1 in, I feel far more positive and proactive and I cannot wait for session 2! 100%, I absolutely recommend the “Finding Your Voice” workshop”. – Lucy Preston
“Running my own business, it’s hard to take time to remember to work on the business and not in it. After attending Finding Your Voice Setting Goals Workshop, I had a clear sense of direction, not only with the business but with my personal goals too. Debbie and Fiona were great presenters who really guided us through things to consider and made the morning fun too. I would recommend Debbie, Fiona and Finding Your Voice and will be attending future events. Thank you to both for such a useful and enjoyable morning.” – Jade, Managing Director
“I found the sessions really helpful. Thank you so much.
I certainly benefited from the collaboration and sharing of experiences. It was very useful to hear others’ stories and approaches and to share best practices.
They were also a great motivator and helped inspire me to follow up on further reading and push my knowledge further.
The atmosphere and professionalism was pitched at the right level and made me feel very welcome and comfortable to ask any questions I had, no matter how silly they may seem!
I have since challenged myself to talk less in my sessions (!), welcome moments of silence so the mentees think about their responses and to think more about the way I pitch in questions and how verbal and physical listening skills impact a conversation flow”. (Aime -Mentor)
I found Fiona very knowledgeable on the subject of mentoring and she was very easy to talk to about anything that I didn’t understand and would go through a unit again until I understood. Fiona also had many tools and methods to use for effective mentoring which she shared with me. Fiona was great at sending out information that would be helpful for us.
I have developed many new skills throughout this mentoring qualification. I have found it to be a positive experience because of the guidance, patience and skill of Fiona.

“I have always felt 100% comfortable in the presence of Fiona which has been invaluable in making the most of our time together as I feel I can fully be myself. I never feel under pressure or embarrassed. When discussing sensitive or more personal topics, I feel empowered and safe to open up and therefore I believe I am truly getting the most out of our time together.
I really value Fiona’s approach to our sessions as I am given the space to introduce my own concerns, with reassurance and support to help me uncover the topics I most benefit from discussing. I feel in complete control of the session whilst knowing I have the guide in Fiona to make the most of our time. I feel 100% seen and supported and understood as Fiona takes time to summarise and acknowledge what I have discussed first and foremost.” (ES, business owner)
“Since we partnered together, I have found Fiona to be extremely supportive, highly flexible as we have had to change many interventions at short notice. Fiona you have been an utter professional and embraced our complex organisation and delivered everything we have asked of you at a very high standard.
I would most certainly recommend you to any organisations. Your approach to relationship building comes across as very genuine and you were always truly interested in understanding my business needs and offering solutions which added value to our employees.”
Lisa Martin, Training & Development Manager, East Midlands Trains
“Working alongside incredibly inspiring colleagues such as Fiona is yet another advantage to signing up to be a mentor. I met Fiona through the Princes Trust mentoring programme and she has been an integral cog to my personal learning, development and continuing supervision throughout. I strongly believe that the world would be better place if everyone had access to a mentor from a young age, that impartial person who guides, expresses an interest, listens, is a safe place to ask questions and seek advice from. But also someone who is there to stretch us, to help us realise our potential, the practical steps we need to get there and to affirm the skills we possess and open our eyes to the opportunities in front of us. If you don’t already feel passionately about the impact mentoring can have; then working with Fiona will ignite this fire within you.”
Kerry Fox, Plan-it-Happy
“As a qualified coach I wanted to expand my knowledge and experience working with and mentoring young people. The training programme was really helpful as it helped me to think about how I use my coaching skills in a mentoring space, and with young people. The support I get from the East Mids network is awesome and extremely valuable. Providing time for mentors to meet and discuss issues, bounce ideas off each other and to provide a space for supervision has really helped me build confidence in my skills. Being able to join the East Mids sessions has really kept me engaged as a mentor and wanting to do more!!! I love the energy in these drop ins and in supervision, from passionate mentors who are so committed to helping young people, it is inspiring! I have learnt so much from others and thought about different ways to use that knowledge and apply it in my mentoring. I would encourage all mentors to participate in these sessions, we all bring different skills and knowledge to mentoring and being able to tap into this is great!! I feel part of a team and well supported!!!

“I have recently completed the “Mentoring Young People in The Princes Trust” programme, accredited by The Institute of Leadership and Management and delivered expertly by Fiona at FP Training. Throughout the programme I have felt very well supported. The content has been excellent and the method of remote delivery has been pretty seamless under the circumstances. Great job Fiona and thank you very much for all your help and advice.”
Mike Sketch, PT Mentor
“The mentor training was good in my view and together with supplementary materials such as the handbook (PDF provided) and a few textbooks (bought myself) it certainly positioned me for the role”.

“Fiona delivered a number of Leadership programmes for DFRS. We had the opportunity to meet with Fiona on several occasions to explain the organisational aims of the programme and as such able to build a suitable programme together.
Fiona was very responsive, lots of discussions, lots of two-way feedback meaning the programme could continually adapt to changing needs.
Delegate feedback included; thought provoking, positive, informative, hard and engaging.
Fiona took a collaborative approach working closing with Organisational Development to ensure delivery matched the needs of the Service.”
Lindsey Payne – Training Manager, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service
“The training with Fiona was always pitched at the right level and pace for the team. They built up a trust in Fiona and the content of the course. For the senior management team, it has given us and insight into how each person approaches their work and what their current capabilities are. All of the team know what is expected of them as managers. The course has allowed the team to understand their strengths and weaknesses. This will benefit the senior management team by helping us delegate more effectively. It has also encouraged some of the team onto further developments and leadership roles”.
“I met Fiona at a Marketing Derby event, late in 2018. Whilst chatting about a new business I had taken over and the vision I had, Fiona asked if she could help by providing support. When I met with Fiona to discuss my needs, I instantly knew that she was bought into my vision and had the experience I needed to support the growth of my senior leadership team.
Fiona sat with me to discuss the vision I had for the business alongside the needs and development the senior leadership team needed, she then set about providing a bespoke development session for the team. Fiona just got it and understood exactly what I needed and what the outcome of the investment in people needed to be.
A challenging and highly motivational day was delivered with the team feeling ready to tackle the new expectations I had set as the business leader, since then the team have gone from strength to strength and are delivering the ambition and growth needed.
I would highly recommend Fiona and would definitely return and use the services again in the future”.
– Matt Hutchings, Managing Director, Derby Conference Centre
Fiona’s coaching provided an excellent basis from which I have taken some fundamental steps in my personal development. I have radically changed some of my perceptions and outlook, a process that I may not necessarily have undertaken at the rate Fiona delivered. I do not give recommendations lightly, however I fully endorse Fiona to those considering coaching services”

“I had a training course with Fiona Porter in Dubai in 2016 entitled (Essentials of Leadership), she made our training course, such an interesting and practical one. Fiona demonstrated great presentation skills and deep knowledge on this subject, I can’t thank her enough. I recommend her with confidence for any training or consultation on the Leadership or related fields.”
Abdullah Almintashry, Pharma & Biotech. Director at Industrial Clusters
“SPS has been working with Fiona for over 15 years. Fiona understands our core needs and has become a key partner in delivering tailored training solutions across our organisation.
In the last 12 months we have embarked on specific role based training for our line management team and Fiona has played a fundamental part in shaping and delivering this to over 100 employees. Her ability to deliver knowledge based and expert solutions has made a huge difference to so many of our employees and feedback from training is always positive. I would fully recommend Fiona to any employer.
Our employees are core to our success and the investment in training is helping to create talent and develop leaders of the future.”
Stacey Walker, Academy Manager, Swiss Post Solutions
Fiona, is an excellent trainer, I have attended several days of courses with her and each time, I take on board the information and come away feeling like I have learnt something new, I have attended other courses in the past and have felt both underwhelmed with the course content or overwhelmed where the trainer has crammed too much into one day. Fiona has an excellent balance, of interaction, learning, and role-play that truly inspires you to learn”
Paul Collins, Data Processor at All Sorts UK Ltd
“We used Fiona to help us develop our Management team. Our team were initially unreceptive to the idea of management training so Fiona had her work cut out with a negative audience. At the end of the first session Fiona already had buy in from the delegates and our own feedback was very positive.
I would not hesitate to recommend Fiona and her service the results have been excellent and on-going.”
Lee Piercy, Advisor at Paul Geddes Wealth Management a Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management
“I have been impressed with the tailored service, dedication and pro-activeness that Fiona provides and the feedback from our site managers has been excellent. It warms me to know that we have a training provider who understands our needs and has the flexibility and dedication to tailor a solution to meet these needs. We look on Fiona as a key partner in assisting our ambitious growth plans and helping to maintain the concept that our people are central to the success of our business.”
Richard Scott MSc., HR & L&D Manager
“I gained a lot from the course in that I got to meet other colleagues and make great contacts. It was also great we got to work together as teams and see how we would solve problems we all deal with on a regular basis.
It has given me a chance to work on my PDP and work on any areas like trusting staff, delegating, stepping back before I jump straight into decision making. I can now talk to my Manager on my own progression.
I feel now I can look more closely at my staff and their weaknesses and strengths and look into more one on one’s with them and what they need from me as their manager. This can start from the appraisals in June and we can put in scheduled dates for one on one’s.
Again thanks so much for all the hard work and effort you put into the three days it was well worth it.”
