Finding Your Voice

Finding Your Voice programme is a series of workshops to support women in making the best use of their strengths and skills, improving opportunities and fulfilling their potential.

The most shared issue that crops up time and again for women is the lack of self-confidence, that my voice is not being heard. This presents itself by not progressing in a career, not having the confidence to step up, take on key roles, not being recognised or listened to in the workplace, or just being ‘stuck’ in what they do, who they are.

Finding Your Voice supports women to gain clarity and renewed purpose, to move beyond self-doubt, overcome fears and inner blocks, to become more confident and courageous, build resilience and to become powerful communicators, and identifying and actioning changes.

Finding Your Voice not only benefits women but also contributes to a more inclusive and equitable workplace culture. By empowering women with the necessary skills and confidence, organisations can actively combat unconscious gender biases and promote diversity across the organisation.

As an organisation, you may be currently looking to address:

  • A lack of women being promoted or even staying in the organisation
  • Lack of gender diversity at all levels
  • A lack of inclusivity, collaboration, and a non-empathetic culture, resulting in poor morale
  • Toxic competitiveness and poor, ineffective communication across teams
  • A lack of visibility of women at all levels of the organisation, especially leadership

You may want to support women in your organisation to feel empowered and safe, to speak up, be heard and see action taken.

Our deepest fear is not that we’re inadequate, our deepest fear is that we’re powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. But our playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others!

Taken from the poem: Our Deepest Fear, by Marianne Williamson

How FYV has made a difference for women…

What if……?

SHE LET GO …. without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of the fear.
She let go of the judgements.
She let go of the opinions swarming around her head.
She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the “right” reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
She didn’t ask for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go. She just let go.
She let go of all the memories that held her back.
She let go of all the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of all the planning and all the calculation, about how to do it just right.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and moon shone forever more.

She Let Go, by Ernest Holmes (1887 – 1960)
